Out of Hibernation (well, Estivation)

estivation (n) State of dormancy similar to hibernation, but during the months of summer. Animals that estivate spend the summer inactive and insulated against heat.

The oppressive, Louisiana summer has finally broken! This week's been beautiful: clear blue skies, low humidity, and highs in the 80’s. At last, we want to leave our air conditioned lair.

Today, we visited the park without worrying about getting home before 9 a.m.
